RE605X timeout for Online Firmware and TP-link Cloud login
RE605X timeout for Online Firmware and TP-link Cloud login
I purchased a brand new RE605X Range Extender to use with my AX6000 in a OneMesh config. OneMesh works perfectly.
There are 2 issues I have with the RE605X as per below (Please Note, both of these scenarios work perfectly fine on my AX6000)
1. Cannot connect to check Online Firmware
2. Timeout trying to log into TP-Link Cloud

Hello everyone,
Please confirm your RE505X / RE605X firmware is the latest, if not, try to update the firmware manually to the latest first, then check again if it can connect to the cloud.
You can download the latest firmware for the RE505X from the below link:
https://www.tp-link.com/support/download/re505x/#Firmware
The latest firmware for RE605X from the below link:
https://www.tp-link.com/support/download/re605x/v1/#Firmware
Then refer to the guide below to update it:
https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/1406/
If the issue persists, can you please confirm if this RE is connected to an Onemesh router? What is the model number & firmware of your router?
What if you disconnect the RE505X from the Onemesh network, and only leave it connected as a normal extender, will it be able to connect to the cloud server then link to the account?
Thank you very much!

@Freaky1 Any solution for this? Even I am facing the same issue and reported as below.

@mvsiva the issue was never resolved by support.
Spent many hours sending logs and screenshots to no avail.
The AP works fine other than not being able to check for firmware updates online.

@Freaky1 Thank you. Except for this issue of online firmware update and the cloud login, both the AP and repeater works fine.

@Solla-topee latest firmware makes no difference. Support already checked this in my case.
And if you look at the screen shots in my opening post you can confirm my 605x is already on the latest firmware when I raised this issue.

@mvsiva thanks for the link. It seems that firmware is EU region.
My region is AU and that firmware is not showing up. I wonder if it is safe to use ?
I wonder if TP-Link support can confirm, or make that newer firmware available in my region if it fixes the issue.
