Deco M9 Plus Firmware update?
Hello,
So I am using 3 M9 Plus Decos - all on firmware 1.4.3 Build 20200921 Rel. 42500
The mobile app and the web interface both say I am on the latest firmware.
The TP-Link Support page says firmware Deco M9 Plus(US)_V2_1.5.1_210126 is available.
Shouldn't the mobile and web interface be telling me a new version of the firmware is available?
Thanks,
Chris.

Hi, Thank you very much for your feedback.
As for why the users failed to detect the latest firmware on the Deco APP, normally when there is a new firmware, it would not directly release to all users at the same time.
So some users would detect the latest firmware at the first time while others might need to wait for a while;
So if possible, please try to log into the web UI: http://tplinkdeco.net to see whether you could manually upload the latest firmware via the web interface;
Thank you very much.

Model: Deco M9 Plus
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.4.3
@crizthebard I Have the same problem. The app and web interface show 1.4.3 Build 20200921 Rel. 42500 as current version. Checking for updates (in the app and the webinterface) says everything is up to date. The website (https://www.tp-link.com/nl/support/download/deco-m9-plus/v2/#Firmware) shows version Deco M9 Plus(EU)_V2_1.5.1_210126.
Manually downloading and upgrading the firmware in the web interface does not seem to work. Upload works, but bothing happens.

@TP-Link i've sent the system logs with the app.

@crizthebard Same here!
I have a set of 3 Deco M9 Plus.
Firmware version is 1.4.3 Build 20200921 Rel. 42500
But when I go to Update Deco in the Deco iOS app, I get the message 'Your Deco Home Wi-Fi System is currently up-to-date. Enjoy'!

Thank you very much and could you please also send the APP log file via Deco Feedback to us so that we could locate the final cause;
After that, please also try to log into the web UI via http://tplinkdeco.net to manually upload the firmware via web UI to have a look;

@phavekes @crizthebard @TP-Link
I have the same hardware/firmware set up.
I tried to update via the app this morning and got an error such as "Cannot update..."
Logged into the web interface and tried to update there - had the same message as shown here i.e. the very latest firmware version isn't shown, just the version the units are already on i.e. no update available.
Once I'd done this, the app update function started checking for updates and showing the current version but still didn't show the latest available version from the downloads webpage.
Seems like the the mechanism you use to force the units/app to pick up latest firmware versions is not working.

I've tried upgrading using the webinterface and the downloaded extracted zip-file again today (just like i did early), end this time it did work. I'm now at version 1.5.1 The app and automatic update check in the webinterface did not show any updates available.

Just done the same and it worked, as you say.
Knowing that if anything goes wrong during a firmware update you're likely to have issues - it does make you nervous.
It's easy enough if you know what you're doing but most people will only ever wait for a notification, so that does need to be fixed.

@TP-Link Many thanks for your input!
I was able to do the firmware 1.5.1 upgrade through the tplinkdeco.net web UI
