TL-WA860RE: can it extend the LAN network without WLAN Router
Hi,
short question: I'd bought a TL-WA860RE and want use it in an area of my house where WiFi coverage is missing. I'd like to use an existing RJ45 network cable with an IP connection and plug it into the TL-WA860RE and create WiFi in this area.
Does this work or requires the TL-WA860RE an existing WiFi network?
Thanks in advance for feedback and BR
Michael

@MichaelGermany Hello,
Do you want to connect Router -- RE by cable, if so you will need to set up range extender as an Access Point :

Hi,
thanks: I did the configuration as access point and everything works fine.
I'm a bit struggling in connecting again to the admin interface with WEB-Browser:
I tried the http://192.168.A.B (192.168.A.B is the IP adress that was assigned via DHCP to the RE).
Any tips and ideas on that?
Thanks and best regards
Michael

@MichaelGermany Hello,
Thank you for your update!
Please clear the browser history & cache, and try domain (tplinkreapeater.net) or IP (192.168.A.B) to login.
You could try to put IP address only in the address bar without ' http://'
Try a different browser, and try Incognito mode and see if this helps.
