Archer A8 speed capped at 100 Mbps
Hi, bought an Archer A8 a few days ago and I'm finding that the down/up speeds seem to be capped to 100 Mbps. My internet plan is 950/450 Mbps down/up, but I'm getting speeds (over LAN) of 90/94 Mbps down/up. I tried switching back to my previous router (supplied by my ISP) and measured 739/0.09 Mbps down/up (that up speed is terrible but highly variable, and part of the reason I got the A8 to replace the old router). But the fact that I can get 739 Mbps download by switching to a different router suggests to me that this is a router problem. Note: all testing is wired/LAN, so it's not a WiFi issue.
When I look at the settings I can see this:
The internet speed of 100Mbps seems like a problem, if I'm reading this right. I don't know how to change it though. I tried changing the "Internet Port Negotiation Speed Setting" from "Auto negotiation" to "1000Mbps/Full Duplex" but then I lose internet access altogether.
Thanks for any help you can give me.
