Range extender AC750 is not discoverable

I have a Jio dual band Router (model JCO4032), provided by the internet subscriber.
I set-up the range extender(RE200/ AC750) through WPS and it worked fine (all the LEDs viz., power, wifi, 2ghz and 5ghz are solid green).
The "tether" app on the phone (iphone iOS 14.5) recognises the RE200 and logs in also.
However, the range extender is not discoverable, neither on my phone nor on my PC (intel i5, 16gb, running windows 10pro, updated yesterday) with tplink archer t2u ac600 dongle (driver of Sept 2019).
When i added the range extender wifi network (XXXX_5GHz_EXT/ XXXX_2GHZ_EXT) manually on the phone, I am able to get connected BUT IS NOT connecting on the PC!
I added the network "manually" on the PC but but the wifi network is not "selectable" and not getting connected to the extended network.
Am i doing something wrong? Please help.
