Model: Deco M5
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.5.3 build 20210203 rel.68223

I am trying to connect the haiku L fan to deco m5 v3 wifi but the deco Wi-Fi network is not listed as available. My ssid is not hidden and the deco is powered on and in range of the haiku fan.
I tried with my old router and the fan connects with no problem at all.

@Kostispan   If the fan is American, the wifi module in the 2.4Ghz frequency only works for channels 1 to 11.

Your deco m5 may be that in the 2.4Ghz frequency it is tuned to channel 12-13 or 14, in this case it does not detect the fan.

Restart the main deco as many times as necessary, until you get a channel on the 2.4 Ghz frequency that is between channels 1 and 12. then deco m5 will detect its fan.

@Rioja @TP-Link

thanks the problem is solved

After restarting the main deco the 2.4GHz wifi channel changed to 5 and the fan connected to deco

My network structure is

ISP-isp router - main deco - switch - other decos.

the decos are in router mode and I try to connect the fan on one of the end decos.

@Kostispan

Hi,

Have you tried to enable the guest Wi-Fi with 2.4ghz only with a different SSID and check again on the Fan to check whether it could detect the wireless network of Deco?

Thank you very much.

@Rioja

I checked on the deco wifi channel and it is set automatically to 12. This explains why the fan cannot connect to deco.
@TP-Link is there a way to change deco wifi channel from the deco interface? And why this is not an option ?

@Kostispan

Hi, please let me know as well.

Currently, rebooting and using the network optimization would help adjust the wireless channel of Deco;

In case the issue is still here, I would like to follow up on your case by email as well;

Thank you very much.

@Kostispan  I am happy for the solution with my advice, but do not forget that if you have a power cut in your house, or you touch the network optimization in the deco application, you can change the channel in 2.4Ghz and put a channel 12-13 or 14. In this case you will have to repeat the recommended option, restart the main deco.

Health.
