Model: Archer C6
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.0.5 Build 20201117 rel.41066(5553)

I brought today(03-May-2021) Tp-Link Archer C6 v3.2 router from Flipkart, i'm facing issue in ISP connectivity after sudden power-cut/manual power switch off.

Note:

My Connection is PPPoE

Scenario :

Manual power switch off & on:

  • Turning on router takes : Nearly 120 sec
  • Then getting internet after turning on router takes : Nearly 4min

Tether App/tplinkwifi.net : Clicking reboot option

  • Turning on router takes : Nearly 120 sec
  • Then getting internet after turning on router takes : Nearly 30sec

Why there is Time delay getting internet compare to above two scenario. Seems they is bug in current firmware.

Even i spoke with Technical Support Team, Still no response.

@KumaranS

If the router is powered off manually then power on again, it will take 4mins to connect to the internet, does it mean the Internet LED change from orange to green takes 4mins? Or can you please explain how did you identify 'Then getting internet after turning on router takes : Nearly 4min'? I guess this will also relate to the ISP or line quality, ISP may take longer time to recognize the connection if the router is physically turned off then on.

@Kevin_Z

Hi Kevin,

I Already checked with ISP, it not issue with ISP.

I'm using Mi 4C router more than year and it used to connect internet with 1min 30 sec like other router, i have no such issue with that.

Even i check with my friend and he is using D-Link, even he don't have such issue.

Getting internet after 5min 35sec manual turn-on the router is just a scrap.

Thanks Kevin, i checked with other community reply with Archer type. Then i get to know this issue there in TP-Link so long.

Note:

In India, most users are connecting internet via PPPoE. Packet sending not proper in TP-Link after i saw the log.

Thanks again, i dont want to waste my time in this TP-Link product. Already returned the it to the seller.
