Model: Archer C80
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

I wanna know if future firmware upgrades will provide the option to choose IPv6 LAN Address Assignation type.

I've seen a lot of old router's emulators and they all provide this option, you can choose from SLAAC, SLAAC+Stateless DHCPv6, DHCPv6...

May I know why do you want to change the LAN Address Assignation type? Does your IPv6 provider require this? Which type does your IPv6 provider require for? Please be aware that this setting should be provided by your IPv6 provider, you cannot change this as your requirement, you will not be able to get the IPv6 internet.

@Kevin_Z It's because my IPv6 doesnt work well... when I reboot the Archer C80, it's ok, but it always stops working after some hours, sometimes after 24 hours sometimes 12 hours.

Also, when the IPv6 isn't working, I can't enter the 192.168.1.1 or tplinkwifi.net pages, so that's why I think the problem is in Archer C80.

I see. May I know who is your ISP? What kind of IPv6 connection type they provided? Please kindly show us the IPv6 settings on the C80, you may cover the personal credentials for any security concerns, we will try to investigate.

@Kevin_Z my ISP is Claro from Brazil (I'm using english forum because my router is US ver.)

my ISP provides DHCPv6.

This is how it is on the IPv6 page in Archer C80:

WAN type: Normal

IPv6 Address: Auto

Local address: fe80::da47:32ff:fef6:3669

global address: 2804:14d:a083:1000::f64

Gateway: fe80::201:5cff:fe74:8046

I use the DNS from my ISP, I've tried cloudfare ipv6 DNS and google and it still doesnt work.

I use predefined MAC address.

LAN: prefix atribution

local address: fe80::da47:32ff:fef6:3668

prefix: 2804:14d:a083:900a::/64

IPv6 address: 2804:14d:a083:900a:da47:32ff:fef6:3668
