Model: Archer MR200
Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version: 1.2.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 210120 Rel.67320n

I am trying to set up the 3G and 4G Backup on my MR200 router by following below link

https://www.tp-link.com/in/support/faq/2719/

But the PPPoE connection always fails with the following message in the log

ppp0 sent [LCP TermReq id=0x3 "Failed to authenticate ourselves to peer"]

I cross-checked ISP provided username/password and the mac address, all seems correct as the same settings works on another router(C6). Tried with a factory reset and followed the same link again but could not get sucess.

Can someone help me in resolving this?

@Sujil_C

Hey

The only time I have ever seen this error it was either the username / password or one of the settings.    Include a screenshot if you can of the old and new setup

This link might help!
