Model: Archer C24
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.4.3 Build 201022 Rel.55840n(5553)

I connected my archer c24 as a repeater mode from archer ax20. Ax20 connected with internet cable and the router time is perfect. But my repeater router which is c24 the time is not perfect. I have to set manually from my device everytime after load-shedding. How to fix it. Why c24 didn't get time automatically from internet like ax20? help me please.

@Shaon-SsS

They solved the problem today. Just set the Internet type dynamic IP(DHCP). The time works perfectly now. My IP was static that causes the problem. Thanks to Tp-Link.

@Shaon-SsS

According to the router's manual (Chapter 6.6.) :

https://static.tp-link.com/2020/202008/20200825/1910012716_Archer%20C24(EU)_UG_V1.pdf

you should be able to set the time automatically even in range extender mode.

@terziyski

I do it everytime to set the time. The router didn't set time from internet automatically. But why I have to do it everytime after load-shedding? Is there any way to set it automatically?

I see that. But the ntp sever not working from internet. My zone is Dhaka GMT+6. But after load-shedding it set the default time not the exact one.

Can you post the network map of C24:

Check C24 system log for any error messages.

Any error message when you set your time zone like this one:

Apart from time setting everything works as it should ?

What's the AX20 HW / FW version ?

That 'poor network' status on the network map is the culprit for your issue (see how it should look like in my screenshot).

Have you checked your internet speed, what's the bandwidth ?

If there's is an option to connect C24 in AP mode (by ethernet cable) to AX20 that would probably solve the problem.

@terziyski

AP mode not possible. Both router are set on different room. Poor connection not the issue I think. 🤔.

Cause my WR-845N also have same time setting problem. Which also set with repeater mode.

@Shaon-SsS

Does it mean there are two repeaters connected to the AX20 network, and both of them cannot update the system time correctly?

Are both repeaters using static IP address when connecting to the AX20, or obtaining the IP address automatically? Try to change it to auto or DHCP if it is static, then check again.

You can also try to reset the C24 to factory defaults, then reconfigure it from scratch, leave the IP settings by default, then confirm.
