RE305 Perdiodic disconnection from the router
Hi, I've recently bought a RE305 extender.
I've configured only the 5GHz band.
The problem with it is that, every 5 minutes, it looses the connection with the router (the blu leds signal and 5GHz turn off), even if it is located near the router.
It has the latest firmware available.
The router is a ZTE H388X with wifi6 enabled.
Any idea on how to solve this annoying issue?

@Solla-topeeHi, following instructions issued by one of your specialist, I've disabled the bandsteering function on my router (a ZTE H388X) and then rebooted the router.
Doing so, now the RE305 has stable connections with the router, on 2.4GHz and 5GHz channels.
Thanks

@Mercanbobbo Hello,
- If the 5Ghz Led goes OFF on the range extender when issue happens, please confirm other devices (laptops & mobile phones) could get stable connection from Router's 5Ghz at RE's location.
- Please change a different Wi-Fi channel for main router 5Ghz, Channel 36/40/44/48 is recommended. DFS channels may change so channels between 52-140 is not recommended.
- Remove the obstacles between RE and router when you locate the RE closer to main router
For RE305 (EU) V3, please try 2021 firmware here:

How to upgrade the firmware of my range extender (new logo)?

@Solla-topee Hello,
regarding first point, I confirm that, when blue LEDs (signal and 5GHz) go down on the RE, my mobile keeps connecting with the main router on 5GHz.
Regarding second point, I've forced the main router on channel 36 but I can't see any improvement (the issue of periodic disconnections is still present).
Finally, I can assure you that there isn't any obstacles between the RE and the router (the distance between them is less than 2 meters).
Should the new firmware solve the issue?

@Solla-topee hello again,
I've installed the 2021 firmware as you suggested but the situation is still the same: every 4min50sec the RE, configured with only a 5GHz link to the main router, drops the connection with the router (signal and 5GHz blue LEDs switch off).
It's a very annoying issue, especially because I've bought 2 RE305 devices, thinking that quality of TP-LINK products was certified.
I don't want to have to change my mind. So, please, help me!
