Model: Deco M5
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: The newest

Hey, I have 1Gb internet connection, is Deco m5 can handle this speeds as main router for gaming? I am now renting a router from my ISP and using 2 decos as AP and I want to stop renting a low-preformence router from my ISP. Is deco a good solution or should I buy a regular router? I have a fiber to RJ45 converter (which can work as a modem)

@BingBong

Hi, Deco M5 is equipped with Gigabit so that the Ethernet speed could reach 1G;

For the wireless standard 5 GHz: 867 Mbps (802.11ac)/2.4 GHz: 400 Mbps (802.11n), so the 5GHz speed would be around 400-600m/s from the main Deco;

So if it could not reach your gaming standard, you could consider adding a Wi-Fi 6 router;

Thank you very much

.

@TP-Link

Hey, I am talking about wired connection. (Fiber to RJ45 Convertor -> Deco M5 -> TP LINK 8 port splitter-> PC) I want to replace my ISP router with deco.

BTW, there is any Tp Link router that support deco? (The same WIFI in the router and in the deco)
