TL-MR3420 Router Keeps Dropping Connection On 3G in Wireless Mode

Region : India
Model : TL-MR3420
Hardware Version : V2
Firmware Version : 3.13.27 Build 121206 Rel.60215n
ISP : TataDocomo 3G
I am having problems with my TL-MR3420 router, it disconnects WIFI all the time. My ZTE MF 631 dongle gives me a strong signal and stable connection and rarely loses connecton when plugged directly into my laptop. With my MR-3420 V2 losses connection, duration only lasts for about 2 to 3 minutes. I have to power off/on the router and turn off/on the wireless button on the laptop to restore connection or manually disconnect in the web interface of MR -3420 and reconnect.
Even i tried the changing channel bandwidhth and channel, still no luck. Router settings is pretty much default, expect security key. I have quite recently upgraded to the latest firmware but the problem seem not to have been resolved.
Please let me know if anyone has any solution / fix for this issue.
Thanks
-Chetan

Guys,
Even I am encountering the same issue. I have tried updating the latest firmware no luck. Then tried out all the firmwares just to see if anyone makes a difference, but no luck yet. I tried downloading a bin file from one of the forum but that didn't helped as well. Can someone throw some light on this? Is this modem compatible with this router?
Thanks,
Senthil

Hi guys,
Still i am facing same problem. TP link replaced my router with new one, but still same issue exists. Can somebody help in resolving this problem.
Anyone from TP link technical support ? Moreover this happens only with wifi, with rj45 connection it works flawlessly.
thanks..

I am seeing the same problem,. I see the SSID OK but connectivity to it, whilst it seems connected drops out every hour or so. We have two machines using it wirelessly and the connection drops for both machines at the same time. So I dont think it is a local driver issue on the laptops. Have upgraded firmware on the MR3402 V2 to latest available on the TPlink site. Any ideas TP-Link?

Try an extension USB cable to relocate the modem away from the router?

Hi,
Has anybody found a solution to this issue? It has nothing to do with dhcp or using the usb extension cable . Problem description is exactly like Chetan has.
The wifi is up, but for some reason it doesn't let the clients in. My Samsung Galaxy S5 was saying "Authentication error occurred". Android app Wifi Analyzer can see the wifi is broadcasting, but it cannot connect to it. Clients used: SGS5, HP 1401 tablet (android), Macbook, three Windows 8.1 laptops (Lenovo T440, T420, Yoga 2 Pro) and a Nokia WP8.1.
Rebooting the MR3420 helps and clients automatically joins the wifi like nothing is wrong. And then after a while (hour or two or so), clients drop from the wifi. One table computer which is plugged to the router via ethernet is able to connect to internet all the time. Only the wifi has issues.
Is the router forgetting its wifi encryption key or messing it somehow?
TP-Link?
Firmware Version:
3.13.27 Build 121206 Rel.60215n
Hardware Version:
MR3420 v2 00000000
(3G stick: Huawei E367 with Saunalahti 3G, Finland (nothing to do with this issue))
Thanks.

Your firmware is too old... Upgrade the latest firmware and test...

K4510-Z Modem
2015-01-19 02:37:59
South Africa
Model : TL-MR3420
Hardware Version : V2
I am having problems with my TL-MR3420 router, K4510-z modem connects, and immediately disconnects. This keeps on happening over and over.
Is the K4510-z supported. What can I do. The Router is worthless without the 3G connection.
Ive read stories on USB can't provide enough amps, modem to close to router, and so on.....
What is the truth???
What do I do?
