WA801ND can't access configuration page

Region : UnitedKingdom
Model : TL-WA801ND
Hardware Version : 1.2
Firmware Version : Vanilla
ISP : Sky
Hi all
I've connected the 801ND via Ethernet to my pc which is connected by a TP wireless pci adapter to our Sky supplied broadband.
I've followed the instructions and set my Ethernet TCP/IPv4 to 192.168.1.100 and then tried accessing the configuration page by typing in "192.168.1.254" into my URL but this does not load, nor does it ping.
Therefore I can't logon to the AP and set it to repeater.
Furthermore, when I follow the instructions listed, it advises me to insert the CD and load up the "easy set up assistant" but there is none listed for my model, only the user guide.

identical problem unresolved ¿?

Having the same problem accessing the configuration page of a WA801ND V2, which I am interested in configuring as a repeater. I have had the AP successfully set up as a repeater with a Linksys WAG320N router for approximately 2 years. Recently changed my ISP from Jazztel to Vodafone and need to re-configure the AP to work with the new router and parameters. Vodafone ADSL requires the use of their propriety router which is a Huawei HG556a/HG56BZRB. No problem connecting to the configuration of the Vodafone router.
Have tried the following scenarios with no success in accessing the configuration options of the WA801ND from a MacBook connected to the Vodafone router via WIFI and to the AP via ethernet cable:
hard reset the AP
opened browser and entered 192.168.0.254 > no access
changed DHCP address from automatic to manual entering 192.168.0.100 (also tried 192.168.0.10 and 192.168.1.2) > no access via 192.168.0.254
tried disconnecting the wifi and repeating the above > no access
DHCP server configuration of the Vodafone router is activated and within the range 192.168.0.192 > 192.168.0.254
... fail to find any further suggestions within this forum to solve the current impasse. TIA

Thanks for the reply. Continue to fail in my attempts to access the configuration page of the TL-WA801ND with the information you provided.
The following are the exact details concerning my MAC networking configurations and would appreciate information as to where my error is:
Router nfo:
ISP: VODAFONE España
Model: Huawei HG556a
IP address: 192.168.0.1
Active DHCP range: 192.168.0.192/192.168.0.254
wifi encryption: WPA-PSK/AES
MAC configuration nfo:
Wifi > off
IPv4 manual
IPv4 address 192.168.0.100 / subnet 255.255.255.0 / router 192.168.0.1
Ethernet > (connected by cable MAC <--> AP)
IPv4 manual
IPv4 address 192.168.0.100 / subnet 255.255.255.0 / router 192.168.0.1
Status: connected to 192.168.0.100
Safari >> 192.168.0.254 = you are not connected to the internet

reset and try with another lan or ethernet cable, if no go use or borrow another Laptop or pc
and if you are sure last time you used 192.168.0.254 try 192.168.1.254 and change all the IPv4 to new subnet
I post this cause on post #1 its this
you posted on #5 your ISP: VODAFONE info. that info and your router is not need it at all to access the configuration page, you only need lan cable, Lap and your 801
and if you are sure last time you used 192.168.0.254 try 192.168.1.254 and change all the IPv4 to new subnet
I post this cause on post #1 its this
maybe some versions come with 192.168. 1.254 and others with 192.168. 0.254I've followed the instructions and set my Ethernet TCP/IPv4 to 192.168.1.100 and then tried accessing the configuration page by typing in "192.168.1.254" into my URL but this does not load, nor does it ping.

Manually changing IPv4 to 192.168.1.100 on the ethernet configuration of the MAC and entering 192.168.1.254 in the browser solved my AP access scenario. Thx

For others struggling with this (and probably me in future when I'm trying to figure it out again), I set my TCP/IP IPv4 address to 192.168.0.100 and visited 192.168.0.254 and it worked (TP-Link W801ND v2.1).
