TP-Link 1043ND Slow Or Dropping Connections
Region : Canada
Model : TL-WR1043ND
Hardware Version : V1
Firmware Version : 3.13.12 Build 120405 Rel.33996n
ISP : Teksavvy Solutions
I bought a TL-WR1043ND today for gigabit ethernet. I unplugged my old Asus RT-N12B and plugged in my new router. My cable modem "PC Activity" light turned blue instead of green indicating that it is running under gigabit ethernet. My PC is connected directly to the router directly using a CAT5 cable and it is also running on gigabit.
The first thing I noticed was that my TL-WR1043ND had a slower response time. When web browsing, I noticed that some pages took much longer to load. One in ten web pages doesn't even connect or load at all (it will work after I click on the refresh button). Is my connection getting frequently interrupted or dropped? It happens so often that is very noticeable.
I plugged back in my old Asus router and I get no problems.
How do I fix this? My TL-WR1043ND is brand new and is barely used for 2 hours. All my router settings are default. I checked the bandwidth limit and parental control sections and they are not turned on.
