Yes, you have to enable WDS bridging on the WR841N but it depends on your FAI router, some of them are not supporting this kind of link...

So I reseted and try to reconfigure it :

First, configure manually the ip address of my adapter to (192.168.0.2/24) :




Then go to the configuration page (192.168.0.1) and login with username admin, password admin too :




Then configure the new router ip address to 192.168.1.100/24 to be in the same subnet as my FAI-router (and reboot, of course):




Change my adapter ip address to match the new subnet (192.168.1.101/24) :




Go to wireless settings and enable WDS bridging, then connect to my FAI-router WLAN :




Got a message about the channel can't be auto, so clic yes to change this setting :




Then wireless security, switched to disabled because I read that it can't be the same security as the FAI-router :




Disable DHCP server (and reboot) :

Tried to ping the TP-Link (192.168.1.100) from my pc, working
Tried to ping the FAI-router (192.168.1.1) from my pc, NOT-working :




But I can ping the FAI-router from the TP-link diagnostic page :




and in the FAI-router side, it is connected to the TP-Link (second line):




So now you have all the informations, what have I done wrong ?
The two routers are connected but on the TP-link, it seems that the LAN is not "linked" to the WLAN...

Oh and I forgot, the "gear" led on the router is blinking...

You have to use the same channel and the same encryption...

The forum lower the resolution...

Don't use Auto for the channel, set it manually to the value of the FAI router...
