TP-Link - RE305 to extend network, but to receive the internet from LAN cable
Hello,
I have the following question, if I can extend my network the described below way:
I've just bought TP-Link - Archer C80 AC1900 for primary router and TP-Link - RE305 AC1200 as an extender.
As I have issues in my kitchen with the wifi signal, most probably because of the walls, I wanted to extended my network there, to have normal and stable signal.
Because the signal in the kitchen is weak, normal extending of the network does not work for me :(
For examples, If you use RE305 as a normal extender (taking the internet from the WiFi network), the speed I can get is about 10mbits from 100mbits and there are times when the laptop does not want to open anything, most probably because the WiFi signal from Archer C80 is not strong enough (the LED light on the extender is not in red).
Is there a way, and if yes, how I can do it:
1. using Archer C80 as my primary router (connected with LAN cable for the internet)
2. extend the same WiFi network from Archer C80 with RE305, but RE305 to receive the internet from LAN cable too (and not from the WiFi network made by Archer C80) and just extend the Archer C80's network in the kitchen without signal loss when I'm moving between the rooms?
Thanks in advance,
Yordan
