Model: RE305
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.1.4 Build 20201202 Rel. 42413

I have an Archer A6 V3 with two RE305 V3's  in a onemesh network, and connected to a Genexis Platinum 4410 with Wifi Disabled (and used purely as a fiber modem)

I am facing a problem that all my devices have trouble detecting an internet connection when connected to my Extenders. They receive an IP, but show "No internet" - My android devices disconnect almost immediately, my windows devices show internet connectivity after several minutes or several tries to connect and disconnect.

When i connect to the Archer A6's wifi, the internet is detected instantly and there are no issues. If i get the devices to start working near the A6, the continue to work fine when i move to the Extenders range. But when they try to connect from the extender network, this internet connectivity issues manifest

My RE 305 v3 are on the following firmware 1.1.4 Build 20201202 Rel. 42413

My A6 v3 is on the following firmware 1.0.5 Build 20201117 rel.41066

@gr33nhorn Hello,

Thank you for your detailed information. Please  test only one extender at a time, unplug the other one.

May I know does 2* RE305 both connected to main router?  Or 2nd RE305 connect to first RE like this : Fiber Modem Genexis Platinum 4410 ---A6 )))(( RE305 #1 )))(( RE305 #2

Please check the LEDs on RE305, does the 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz LEDs On? If Wi-Fi Leds are ON but no Internet on RE, please try the Beta firmware I sent to you via private message.

If RE LEDs are off, please put RE305 closer to router. Factory reset RE and set up RE again with different a different SSID from router (oneMesh should be Off )and check its Internet .

Thank you for your PM - I will try flashing one of them and see if things improve. In the meantime the genexis platinum is connected to the Archer A6 via a Lan cable to the A6's WAN port. Both the RE305 connect to the A6 via 2.4ghz . they cannot connect to the 5Ghz band due to this existing issue in onemesh mode with smart connect on (and the 5ghz LED wifi is off) https://community.tp-link.com/us/home/forum/topic/206884?replyId=569828&utm_source=Subscription&utm_medium=email

@Solla-topee Thank you

I flashed the firmware you sent (and did the fix to make the Re305 connect to the A6 i dual band mode in that thread) and now things are working fine!

Oddly from the FW number it looks older? Please let me know when i will be able to start flashing the OTA firmwares.

@gr33nhorn Hello,

RE305(EU)_V3_20201202 Sorry that previously I did not notice that latest firmware has come out and sent you the Beta which is a bit older (also the same firmware).

New firmware should be able to fix the issue Beta has fixed.

It is possible that the original issue is not on firmware. May I know with the official firmware, extender does not get any Internet, but client get an IP address.

Does WiFi Led light up on range extender? What is the IP address on client at that moment?
