Can I know the model of your tp-link device , do you try to login web interface or tether app, or trying to connect to extender Wi-Fi?
If you own a range extender but login password is incorrect, you could try a factory reset and reinstall it from scratch.
RESET: With the extender powered on, use a pin to press the RESET button until most Leds flash once.
