Hi there, i have a new router only installed 2 months ago. We had a power outage this morning for few seconds but now the unit is not connecting to our internet. We have internet as my pc is plugged directly like the router. I don't have a laptop and my pc has only one ethernet port so i don't know what to do. Can anyone please advise if i can sort this issue out through the tether app or is there anything I can do please?

Check the status of your router LEDs. If the device is operable then continue with the following:

Connect your PC to the router's LAN port and ethernet cable from your ISP to the router's WAN port.

Login the router's web management interface and check the Internet port configuration - http://tplinkwifi.net or http://192.168.0.1

It should look like this (underlined settings should be propagated automatically with real values upon successful configuration):

 

You can clone your PC MAC address if that's required by your ISP.

If you're not sure about these settings you can call your ISP to be advised on these.

 

If the device LEDs are not lit after powering the router then contact your local support to be advised further.

@terziyski thank you so much for your reply. When I power on the unit all lights flash on and the icon with the world symbol? Flashes orange.  The first 3 lights stay lit but other 3 go out. So can I try what you suggest please based on that?

Judging by your description the device seems to be operable and I would give it a go.

If you have managed to login your router can you post some screenshots like I did (Internet port status, wireless settings, etc.) to be able to determine what's the cause for your issue ?
