Hi all,

i want to install 6 Deco P9 due to the size of the place.

Currently I have 1 Modem Router plus one Ethernet connected Router operating as access point.

Is it possible to install 2 Deco P9 at the mentioned devices as "main devices" to spread the network instead of having only one main deco p9?

@Greg_v

Hi, so you tend to divide 6*P9 into two groups to create two mesh network right?

If yes, it is ok to have two mesh systems under the same ISP modem router.

And the following link might provide some help:

How to add a new Deco network through Deco app?

@TP-Link

thank you!
I understand. But the two different networks can spread the same mashed network (Wifi), right?

The reason why I want to do it this way is because the modem/ router and access point are having a direct Ethernet connection. Hence, the connection will be optimal and those points can be used as entry points for the main decos. Otherwise I'd only use one Deco as the main device and might lose bandwidth through the electricity network.

Hi, if you have two main Deco, it also means you have two Mesh networks and it is also suggested to name them differently.
