Model: Deco M5
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

Hello,

Have M5 in AP mode with guest network isolation enabled.

However, when connected to the guest network through the M5 I am able to access the router IP address (192.168.1.1) to make changes to the main router.

When I am connected to the guest network via the main router I am blocked from accessing the router set-up.

I do not want those on the guest network to have access to the main router set up. Am I doing something wrong with the M5?

Thanks for your assistance.

@7474

Hi, welcome to the community.

When Deco is connected behind the main ISP router and works as an access point, the whole Deco mesh network(host network +guest network) is considered as the host network of the ISP router.

So it is normal that you could still access the router setup.

And the guest network and host network of Deco is not separated by VLAN under the access point; the router mode of Deco is separated by VLAN though.
