Archer AX55 (AX3000) firmware: automatic update and website download are different versions

Model: Archer AX55
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.3 Build 20210809 rel.70278(4555)

Hello,

The website firmware download for Thailand (https://www.tp-link.com/th/support/download/archer-ax55/#Firmware) indicates the latest version to be Archer AX55(US)_V1_210926  (published 2021-10-26) but the router's automatic update screen (Advanced -> System -> Firmware update) indicates 1.0.6 Build 20211108 rel.61776 which aren't the same.

Which versions are safe to upgrade to?  The website download version ?  The router's automatic update itself?

Thx.

@tikmok

In general it is safe to upgrade to the latest version that TP-Link cloud offers through the device web management interface.

But for your safety you can wait for a few days and check if you're OK with the new FW update release notes (changes, fixes, new features).

It's not unusual that the cloud FW update precedes the local support portal new FW release announce - eventually it will be published there as well.

Thanks for replying.  From the sound of it, maybe it is safer to wait until it's announced on the portal.  If there is an obvious problem, by that time, perhaps a few people would have noticed it.

Thanks again...
