Access point name
Can anybody tell me if i can rename the extender access point name to the same as the router so i don't have to disconnect and reconnect when going from room to room or am i missing something?

You can rename the extended wireless network to be with the same name as on your router:
But you will continue to disconnect and reconnect when you're going from room to room in accordance to the wireless signal strength of the device you're connected to.
What you're after is probably the seamless roaming which is provided by the OneMesh feature.
Here are the OneMesh compatible extenders.
