How can I set up the Deco x20 using a PC? I need to configure 50+ Deco X20s and the app is not feasible. I have tried the 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.0.1 with no success. 192.168.68.1 refers me back to using the app.

@M2X

Hi, welcome to the community.

Deco is designed for easy control over Deco APP and I am afraid it does not support web UI configuration yet.

Considering for 50+ Deco X20s, the bossiness grade EAP mesh would be more suitable and for more details, please refer to the following links:

Thank you very much.

@M2X

Hello could you provide a bit more details for you situation 50+ Decos X20 is a lot.  Is this for a business, multiple homes, a single network, or something else?  As you can see on this FAQ depending on how you plan to deploy the Deco will determine the number that can be in a single network.

As for Web-based UI. As my colleague pointed out the Deco ecosystem does not support this.  Deco was designed from the ground up around ease of use, and access.  Because of this only App control has ever been considered.  A few years ago we did begin to add a limited web UI but this is mainly to view logs and manually update firmware.  There is no control for the Decos from this UI.  The good news is Deco is very easy to configure after the 1st unit.  The main unit will communitcate with the add on and send the configuration over.  all you have to do is plug the unit in and simply tap the '+', tap on the Deco unit you want to add and wait for the configuration to be loaded.  Then place that unit where you want it to go and rinse and repeat till all Decos are configured.

If you plan to setup mulitple networks same process as above but you need to create a seperate network first.  This FAQ will help with that.  After the new network is created you would go through the setup process for the 1st unit, the base/main unit and then repeat the add process above.

The suggest from my colleague about looking at the EAP system is because if this is for a business our Omada SDN may be a better choice, especially if this bussness expands across several locations or floors.  You can learn more about SDN and the controllers, switches, APs and routers associated with it here.
