DNS request to "dfp-dual.safethings.avira.com"
Hello everybody,
I got a private DNS setup with PiHole and I configured my AX55 to use it as DNS server.
As soon as i saved my config I started to see all the DNS requests made from my router and I think it's not normal that TP-Link sends 500 request per minute to dfp-dual.safethings.avira.com.
There's no settings to disable telemetry, analysis or whatever these requests mean.
TP-Link should push a firmware update as soon as possible, I don't even think is legal (here in EU) to do telemetry or data analysis without user's consent.
The thing even worst that the AX55 is the gateway, so every connection have to pass from it.
Here's just a bunch of DNS request blocked:
Waiting for TP-Link response.

Hi @Kevin_Z
the link you posted refers to US version of AX55. Is it safe to push that update on a EU model?
TIA

Hi @Kevin_Z I installed the new firmware update and everything seems to work. Just to know, from now on I will receive the auto-update for US market or will it still check for EU market from the auto-updates?
TIA

Glad to know that works.

You will still get and receive the firmware for the EU version, which is determined by the region version of the device.
