Model: Archer T600U Nano
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

Hi,

I'm getting very slow speed via 5ghz Wifi connectivity in my Samsung laptop. I'm using latest Archer T2U nano (US) ver 1 drivers from TP Link website. This laptop has only 2.4 ghz WiFi support, hence I bought this adapter. I have Windows 10 OS which is uptodate. I'm easily getting 120-150 mbps speed with my other 5 ghz Wifi capable devices but with Archer T2U nano AC 600 adapter I'm only getting 50 mbps in my samsung laptop.

Kindly help and don't delete this post like previously.

Thanks

  Hello @Raj25

For 5Ghz speed slow, you could try a different wifi channel on 5Ghz band ,36/40/44/48 are recommended, change 5Ghz channel width to 80Mhz.

Disable other wif adapter when  tp-link wifi adater is enabed. If still the same, can i have the speedtest results on PC and other devices.

Please check what is the link speed on the computer?

How to check the associated/link speed on a wireless client

  @Solla-topee

Done that. Change the WiFi channel to 48 from 149 and width to 80 mhz but no change, same old 50 mbps speed. In other devices like phone & laptops I'm getting 120-150 mbps speed in 5ghz band. I have also changed the default TP-link driver to the Realtek one given on this website but no change in speed. What should I do now?

Hello   @Raj25

sorry somehow I overlooked this case, you could try a different USB port like a USB 2.0/ USB 3.0 and see if that makes any difference.

You may also test this adapter on a differnet computer/ or PC, note to disable other network adapter and see if could get reasonable 5Ghz speed.

Can I know what is the 5Ghz Wi-Fi link speed on computer. Does other device test the 5Ghz speed at the same location of this computer?

May I know the model of router, the photo of speedtest and link speed, and  motherboard information of computer.Thank you.
