Model: Archer VR2100
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

I have replaced an old Telstra Gateway Access Modem/Router with a TP-Link Archer VR2100 (AC2100).  The TP-Link Modem/Router works to my satisfaction. My existing analogue Telstra landline service, connected with the VDSL2 Splitter-Filter supplied with the AC2100, no longer works.  Why would this be so?  Thanks

  @GregHo Hi,welcome to the community.

Thank you for your patience.

When you used Telstra Gateway before, was the landline service connected to the Telstra gateway or also connected to DSL service provider directly via DSL splitter?

For Archer VR2100, it does not support VOIP feature and if the landline service used to be connected to the Telstra gateway, and you also need to register the phone service on the Telstra gateway, Archer VR2100v might be the correct model.

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.

  @GregHo Yes, thanks David, I have now realised I purchased the wrong model of modem/router.  I should have purchased the Archer VR2100v, which my retailer didn't sell.
