This Ookla Speedtest issue has been addressed and fixed by Ookla, you can check and test the speed via the router web GUI or Tether app now.

This Article Applies to:

Wi-Fi Routers with built-in Ookla Speedtest

 

Issue Description/Background:

We've been aware that some customers reported the built-in Ookla Speedtest is no longer working properly and displays a "Failed to test the speed. Please try again later." error. This issue is NOT about a specific firmware version, it's ONLY related to the built-in Speedtest server, all the other features and functions are not affected. If in case you're experiencing an issue, please Start a New Thread to describe it in detail.

 

Suggestions:

1. It's suggested to install and run Speedtest APP, or visit speedtest.net to test the actual speed.

 

2. TP-Link is working actively with Ookla and will update the status once this is confirmed and fixed. It's suggested to subscribe and pay attention to the thread to get the updated notice.

 

3. If anyone wants to configure the QoS settings based on the Ookla speedtest result, it's suggested to set the total bandwidth speed manually to that equal to or higher than your actual speed for up and down (Advanced > QoS, top of menu) as follows:

Hi I have a mr600 and I have the same problem with 'fail internet test, please try again later,' any help will greatly appreciated, thank you
