SOHO switches with 802.1p QoS
Hi
I bought a Trendnet switch the other day and it has 802.1p support for QoS, but it's unmanaged. It has no support for 802.1q, so I'm scratching my head as to how it can support 802.1p for QoS.
Am I missing something?

Hello @BillyAkinbredal
You could consider getting TP-Link Easy Smart switch ( Unmanaged Pro switch) like TL-SG108E which support 802.1P QoS
You could refer to UG page 64 for the setup.

But there is no CoS as there is no 802.1q, which means there is no 802.1p. Unless it somehow allows you to send 802.1q traffic, and any traffic which isn't native vlan it somehow looks at the 802.1p field, and discards the 802.1q header entirely, and rewrites? Nah, that doesn't make sense either.
I'll have to do some quick tests just to satisfy my omegle.love curiosity.

the silicon might be capable of 802.1p prioritization, but without giving users access to managing vlans, it's not an actual capability.
