Firmware Update impossible Archer MR600
Hello,
it seems like im facing issues with my TP-Link Archer MR600 and can not solve them by myself.
I would like it to update to Firmware "Archer MR600(EU)_V2_210914", because there ist WPA3 mentioned which I would like to activate. Also the 4G / 3G Bug seems to be resolved.
on the Firmware update Tab it always says my Firmware is up to date and when I try to update it via the downloaded file the upload stops around 33 % with Error code 4503:
Is there anything I'm doing wrong or do I have to change some setting first?
Thanks in advance for your help :-)
Best regards, Tim

Did you purchase the MR600 from normal store as well instead of getting from Drei?
@TimLux @MirkoA @Dani777 @DirkMa @internetu Hi All, I've sent you a private message, please check if it helps.
For other users with the same issue and the same current firmware version, please let us know where you got the product.

Hi, thank you very much for the feedback.
Upon checking, your current firmware version 210805 is a customized firmware for Drei, I guess the router was provided by the ISP Drei as well.
Due to Drei requirement, the customized firmware is unable to upgrade or downgrade to other universal version firmware.

@Sunshine thanks for your reply, even if it left me confused.
I bought this router new from a normal shop, which should be a standard EU Model according to the shops description.
Is there no way around this restriction?

Hi,thank you very much for the reply.
Currently there is no other firmware that could change the customized firmware back to other firmware.
May I know if it was purchased from local shop or online shop? if it is an online shop, please send me a private message about the link, thank you.
By the way, may I know if the ISP of your SIM card is Drei or not? and is the internet working fine on this MR600?

Hi, sorry for that the customized firmware is not allowed to update the universal version firmware, I have contacted the local team in Germany to investigate the shop where you bought it.
If your product is still under the return window of that store, you could also consider to return it and purchase MR600 v2 again from other shops, here is the where-to-buy information on our official website for your reference: https://www.tp-link.com/de/where-to-buy/#Online-Shops

Hi, thank you very much for the feedback.
At this moment, it cannot update to the EU version firmware, but since it seems that not only one user having this issue and the device was indeed purchased from normal seller instead of Drei, we are trying to apply for a middle firmware to help such device to install EU version firmware again, once it is available, I will share it with you.
Currently, the internet should be working fine, please wait patiently.

Hi,
i have the same issue.
I bought my router last November from a regular store.
But now I found out that I also have a "Drei" model. And yes, I bought an unbranded model.
I also have the same firmware (firmware version:1.4.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 210805 Rel.63527n).
And I can not update to a new version.
@Sunshine Is there now a new firmware for this?
