RE200 registration
When registering my RE200 I was forced to use http: and no https: connection was allowed. I had to input my router passwords without being protected.
Why wouldn't tp-link protect us by allowing https: connection? Doesn't this open up our wifi to compromise?

Hello @johnnyb99
It is secured connection when access range extender web page, please check out FAQ for details:
Besides, range extender web page requires logging in when device is in the local network unless you do port forwarding for it, this means Range extender login is protected by router or firewall in your network.

Hello @johnnyb99
For '. It is telling me that I can only connect via http: and not https:,' may I have a photo of it and can you explain when did you meet this warning?
Do you mean can not access any https website like ' https://www.tp-link.com/ , if so you could try some tips here
- Try a different web browser first
- Confirm the Range extender is on the latest firmware
- Confirm when connected to router Wifi, you could access https website
What browsers you have tried, the firmware & hardware version of RE.
