VR600 with Huawei E3372h Dongle
Hi There,
I'm trying to get an Archer VR600 working with 4g/LTE failover. I've purchased a Huawei E3372h dongle as recommended in the compatible devices list. I'm connecting the dongle to the router and the router is recognising it as connected and being assigned an IP address in the correct range:
Router assigned IP Address: 192.168.8.100 (same IP my PC is assigned when connecting dongle directly)
Gateway: 192.168.8.1 (which is the correct IP address of the Huaweii dongle when connected to a PC)
DNS: 192.168.8.1 / 0.0.0.0
However the VR600 is showing a status of "no internet" and when I try to ping a WAN address (e.g. 8.8.8.8) this is failing.
The weird part is that DNS appears to be working. If I try the following:
nslookup tp-link.com 192.168.1.1
where 192.168.1.1 is the LAN address of the VR600, this is successful and correctly returns the remote IP address.
So clearly something is working and the dongle is getting internet but for some reason the VR600 is not routing all traffic through the 192.168.8.1 gateway for some reason.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Olly
