Model: TD-W8961N
Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version:

Recently found my old TD-W8951ND (NOT a W896 as my model was not listed and I had to select one) in the attic and upgraded it using the wrong version of firmware. I ended up with the bootloop. I followed a few youtube guides to no avail.

Basically, I'm trying to get a response from my router using the TFTPd; but holding down the Reset button using a pin while turning the device on gives me nothing on the log viewer.

Any help on how to rescue my router is greatlly appreciated.

P.S. I'm not a tech savvy

  @Cactuslone

Hi, thanks for the feedback.

I think TD-W8951ND does not support TFTP firmware recovery and if a hardware reset did not make any difference, it would be easier to search for a new DSL modem router.

Best regards.
