In my new house I have Ethernet network ports in every room.

Internet and television services are provided through optical fiber.

I purchased a 16 Gigabit port TP-Link TL-SG1016DE switch in order to distribute the router signal through the 14 network cables that go to the different rooms.

I wonder if it is possible to create a mesh WiFi network using only TP-Link Extenders in Access Point (AP) mode.

Using, for example, two or three TP-Link RE700X devices (AX3000 Mesh WiFi 6 Extender), at different points in the house, each one connected to a Ethernet port.

Can they all receive the router signal via ethernet (in AP mode) and transmit the signal wirelessly, forming just a single network, as in mesh systems?

If so, I ask if there are any particularities or precautions to be taken into account in the installation / configuration process.

If this is not possible, I would appreciate suggestions about the best way to create a unique wireless network (mesh type), with TP-Link devices, taking advantage of the Ethernet ports distributed throughout the house.

Tp-Link extenders don't support mesh network in AP mode - OneMesh FAQ - Q5/A5.

There's another upcoming standard called EasyMesh - it's planned to support ethernet backhaul, but implementing would take time and there's no guarantee for that.

What you could use for creating a mesh network right now, with your existing cabling, is a Deco mesh.

Here's the difference between Deco mesh and OneMesh.

Final option is to use an Omada EAP products to build a mesh network at home.
