Model: Archer AX73
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.2 Build 20220317 rel.50456(4555)

Hi,

I would like to report serious issue with AX73 AX5400 Wi-Fi 6 Router Channel width 160MHz issue on 5GHz Wi-Fi which when is selected causing Wi-Fi connection of whole radio unstable, disconnecting, loosing packets. Issue has been isolated as spent few days with analyzing this, returned AX73 router to TP-Link, got a new one but same issue!

Tested with changing of all kinds of wi-fi settings but always when selected 160MHz bandwidth it causing instability issues and whole radio break down.

Tested on Asus Vivobook Intel Wi-Fi chipset and S22 Ultra with the same issue. Only solution is to switch bandwidth to 20/40/80MHz.

Please fix in upcoming firmware. BTW first fw releases didn't have this issue.

Best regards

@Iczeman

Can you please show us what are the detailed Wi-Fi settings on the AX73 when causing an issue as you described? You can mask the SSID and password for any security concerns.

When choosing 160MHz for the 5G network, what is the specific channel also? Have you tested with other available channels?

When you mention "causing Wi-Fi connection of whole radio unstable, disconnecting, losing packets", can we have more details, such as what are the detailed behaviors when the issue happens? Is the 5G network completely disappearing?
