Hi,

I have an er605 as my main router which is connected to fiber

than i have vr400 as my wireless router, i configured it as access point according to guide here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cg_gGECGLiY second part of the video

i also have pihole connected to my main router as a dns provider

once i enable the dns provider on the main router, the wireless devices have no internet, or at least they can't resolve dns, wired devices resolve and connected, this is not a pihole issue

configuring the vr400 as an internet router, i.e. going to netwrok -> internet and configuring dynamic ip resolve this issue, however i than have to enable dhcp on the vr 400 and i don't want that

any advice?

Check the reply in your other thread.

To engage the Pi Hole as a DNS, you need to put it's IP address in the er605 DHCP server settings:

In the above screenshot the Pi Hole's IP address entered is 192.168.0.2.

  @terziyski Hi,

Thank you that solved my issue

I don't have that DHCP Server tab, but I have it under the LAN connection, so i changed it for lan1 and it works

before i put it under WAN connection and it breaked things, not sure why it breaks things under the wan, maybe it goes into endless loop or something?

The reason for different location of DHCP settings is that I used a screenshot form er605 v1, but the logic is the same.

In general a public IP address for the WAN port should be set as a DNS, while the private IP address for the DNS should be configured in the LAN DHCP server settings.
