Model: Archer AX1500
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

I have an AX1500 router which I used with my previous ISP. Now, that I have changed ISP and working with a fiber optic infrastructure with a router provided by the ISP, I would like to utilize the AX1500 as a range extender/repeater for the other floor in the house.

How can I configure the router to act as a range extender?

Thanks in advance!

AX1500 doesn't support range extender mode.

It supports AP mode (Case 1), which you could use to extend the wireless coverage in your home using ethernet connection to your ISP router.

A new mesh standard is forthcoming - EasyMesh. If both devices support this feature (by FW update in the future), you'll be able to use them in wireless mesh network.
