Model: Deco M4
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.5.4 2 0220113 Rel. 38349

Installed Deco M4R (EU) set and delighted, read review advising M4 has Gigabit capability, and ordered a set of M4 with intention of hitching that to Router. Curious as to which is better, M4 or M4R, which is best cabled directly to router?

The M4 set was being sold off in a sale, M4R being £20 more expensive, could do with knowing why, are M4s the older version or less advanced/capable in some way?

  @Factory-Fit

Hi, Usually the whole kit(2/3-pack) of Deco will be called Deco M4, and a single unit in the kit is Deco M4R.

They should be the same and anyone in the kit is good enough to be cabled directly to the ISP modem router.

I noticed you mentioned that "The M4 set was being sold off in a sale, M4R being £20 more expensive", would it be convenient to share me a link?

Thank you very much.

Best regards.

The Deco M4 three unit set was available at Ebuyer in the UK, they must have shifted them all now, many thanks for your response. Used two out of the pack of sale-priced M4 units to expand area of network Had read a review that claimed the M4 was 1Gb capable and the M4R wasn't, must have been false information
