Model: RE215
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

So I had 1 that worked well and wanted another for a seperate spot of my house.

But now after configuring them only 1 will work at a time.

My connection is modem to switch to extenders. In tether mode.

they are not daisy chained but each direct to the switch.

Can I not have them both working at the same time in tether mode?

  @depotdevil

Hi, welcome to the community.

Here"My connection is modem to switch to extenders. In tether mode", do you mean the 2*RE215s are wired to the network switch via Ethernet cables?

May I know the model number of your ISP modem router?

When they are both powered on, Will you be able to see both 2.4ghz/5ghz lit up on both RE215s?

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.

  @David-TP

Thanks for the welcome. Love the product.

Not sure of model. It is a Arris gateway in bridge mode from Comcast. has my internet/phone on it. Weird little tower thing.

No label other than "Property of Xfinity"

When I had them powered on I was able ot see the lights and in the app I could see them.

But only worked for about 15 min. then my internet started going wonky.

I found that for some reason only 1 would stay in tether mode at a time.

And it would flip back and forth as I tried to put them both in tether mode.

I double checked and the line is running from Switch to tplink. and a 2nd line from switch to tplink.

The only light that wasn't on all the time or was orange was the wifi light.
