I recently set up a new TP-Link Deco X20 mesh network in my house, and I have a couple of questions about my new network environment. My ISP is Comcast and I am using my Comcast modem/router, and I covered my house using 3 Xfi Pods. I removed the pods then setup my new Deco network according to the directions and it is working great.

In a nutshell, my devices now have 2 IP addresses. One from Comcast and one from Deco. Is this a bad thing? How can I remedy if this is bad. Another question I have is which is better mesh mode or AP mode?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, welcome to the community.

I think you could try to change Deco X20 into Access Point mode:

How to set up Deco to work in Access Point mode

Best regards.
