Me and my phone, the Wifi router and the extender are within 1 meter.
If I connect to the router with Wifi, the speed test is 300 Mbps, if to the extender, then 16 Mbps.
Of course, all LEDs on the extender light up blue (except LAN)

If the internet bandwidth from the router is 300m/s, due to half-duplex over-the-air modulation techniques, the expected wireless speed from 850RE is 75m/s. But compared with 16m/s, it is a little slow. It is suggested to change the wireless channel settings on the main router to channel 11 and channel width 40mhz to see whether it could improve the speed.
And since 850RE is 2.4ghz only, It might not be a suitable model to extend the wireless network of the main router. Maybe you could have a look at other models, like RE450.
