Model: Archer VR400
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.3.0 0.9.1 v00a1.0 Build 201109 Rel.54507n

Hello to all

I have setup some port forwarding in the Virtual Server section. I have a public static IP.

When i try to access those ports from outside the network or when i am connected by WiFi on the router, i can access everything with no issue.

When i try to access the same ports when i am connected with lan cable (directly on the router, nothing in between) i get an error

         The server at www. examplesite. com is taking too long to respond.

I can ping and traceroute successfully.

This happens to multiple devices, some fresh formatted also.

Any ideas?

Thank you.

  @Juantso

Hi, Have you tried to update the firmware of VR400 V3 to the latest 1.5.0:

Archer VR400(EU)_V3_1.5.0_220321

What is this local server, like NAS or something else? Is it connected to VR400 via Wi-Fi or Ethernet cable?

Are you able to access this local server via LAN IP: port number(such as 192.168.1.1:100) when you are connected with a LAN cable to VR400?

best regards.

  @David-TP

Hi David

no, i haven't done the update yet.

The server(s) are VMs.

I can access them locally without issue in both WiFi and Wired

My only issue is when i am connected through lan cable and trying to access them with their public name.

Thanks

Yannis
