Model: Deco PX50
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I recently purchased a quite expensive set of 3 Deco PX50 routers. They work well within my flat, but I want to extend the network into my basement room using the powerline connectivity. I know that the PX50 are not compatible with normal HomePlugAV. So do I have to purchase another expensive PX50 router just for a small basement room or are there other routers that would work?
And even if I had to buy another PX50, why is there no listings for a SINGLE PX50 router on any shopping site I checked? I do NOT need another pair or even three of them, only ONE!

Hi, welcome to the community.

You could have a look at PGW2440 KIT

https://www.tp-link.com/en/home-networking/powerline/pgw2440-kit/

And the expected layout would be like this:

Internet---ISP modem---main Deco PX50---<cable>---PG2400P~~~home wire system~~~PGW2440(in the basement)

If you only want to have one SSID, you could change the WiFi name of PGW2440 to the same as Deco PX50.

Thank you very much.

Best regards.
