Model: Archer VR600
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.5.0 0.9.1 v009e.0 Build 220518 Rel.43816n

I use Zoom all the time on my home network and today I suddenly could not log in to Zoom, either on the Zoom app or via my browser.

All other websites etc worked, even other areas of the Zoom website, just not the login page.  I would just get a soining sign in button and then a red "Timeout exceeded" pop up.

I discovered I could login on my iphone when i switched to 4G, so then called my ISP - Sky.  They couldn't find a fault but suggested I reconnect their "hub" rather than the TPLink Router.  Everything then worked fine.

I note on the TP Forum people talking in the past about the "pay to surf" category in parental controls blocking Zoom, but I don't have parental controls activated.

Is it possible a firmware update has caused this issue today?

If I can't resolve this it's back to only being able to use Sky's hub instead of the TPLink.

  @NiceBloke

Hi, have you tried to change the IPV4 DNS to 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4:

Did you have this issue on all the devices that are connected to VR600?

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.

  @David-TP Thanks for your help.

I've made those changes today, but to be fair, the Zoom log-in issue seemed to resolve itself.

After my original post I had to go back onto the TPLink ArcherVR600, as the Sky hub is so poor for everyone else to use around the house.  A few days later I had another Zoom call and no issues using the app or logging in.  I hadn't made any changes at that point, most bizarre.

Anyway, I've now changed the IPV4 DNS to 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4 as you've suggested; MTU was already at 1500.  Everything seems to be running smoothly, including Zoom 😅
