Hi, when using the 1.7.0 firmware, did you get similar speed if you ignore the 4G+ LED?

It is okay to stay the 1.6.0 firmware if the speed is better by using the same band.

Hi there,

I have updated to firmware 1.7 this morning and have exactly the same issue with flashing 4g symbol and dropping / intermittent connection. How do I downgrade to the previous firmware version please?

Thanks

Hi, could you please refer to this thread for troubleshooting first: Carrier Aggregation or 4G+ doesn’t work properly on LTE Advanced Router

  @Sunshine

I did look at that thread. From what I can understand - putting the SIM card in my phone shows 4g+.

Using my phone to find which LTE band it uses for 4g+ fast connection, it looks like band 3. I changed the sim router band to band 3 but still had the same issue with 4g light blinking on and off.

Was there any other steps there to follow to try and resolve?

Thanks

Sorry only getting back. Yes I think so, usually get similar speeds when it was flashing, not sure tho. I usually get around 100 mbps plus download off peak, but it does drop a bit peak times when more people using the masts. This is using the same bands 3&20 what the router pick's up, it does still change regularly tho from 1 to 2 bands, when i check on the router login page. Is this ok ?

Noticed my upload gone down a bit, not sure if its to do with my provider or 4g router. But since ive been bk on 1.6 firmware its been ok, no blinking 4g+ symbol now. On the router logs, when i was on the 1.7 firmware, it was constantly changing from lte to lte Plus, every few seconds. But its not doing it on the 1.6 firmware.

  @Craige_Davido

Thanks for your reply Craig.

How did you roll back to firmware 1.6 please? I am keen to do this as the router was stable before it upgraded, but now quite unstable and signal drops in and out a lot.

Is there a guide or easy steps to roll back to 1.6?

Thanks
