Model: TL-WPA8631P KIT
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Hi

Can I use the TL-PA8010P unit from the TL-WPA8631P KIT as the "master" unit, so that I connect that one to my modem/router and then use the TL-WPA8631P unit as a "slave" somewhere else in the house? Or does the latter have to be the master? I hope it makes sense.

Regards,

Hi,

There is no such thing as a "master" or "slave" unit. You can connect them any way you want.

The user manuals always show the Powerline adapter without the Wi-Fi (TL-PA...) connected to the router and the Powerline adapter that includes the Wi-Fi feature (TL-WPA...) connected as "Extender", but that's just because it is the most likely way people will use them.
