Hi!

I've just set up my range extender by the instructions, was easy and went ok. All lights on the device are on as they should be.

However, I am getting 10-20% of the speed when I connect to the access point, compared to connecting to the router itself.

This is what I get when I connect my laptop directly to the router by wifi:

This is what I get when I connect my laptop to the external access point by wifi:

My mobile phone also gets about the same fraction of the speed when I do the speed tests in the same way.

Also - my desktop computer, which is connected to the tether via an ethernet cable, gets the lower speed.

The issue isnt the strength of the signal, it shows as near max.

It is also not the devices, as they all show the same trend.

I imagine the issue lies between the router (hot box 5f) and the extender (TL-WA850RE).

The extender specifies it supports speeds up to 300mbps.

I would very much appreciate your support in order to achieve this.

Thanks!

Shay
