Model: Deco X50
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

just bought a Deco X50's.

and i want to throw away my main router the one that the isp gave me.

does the Main X50 that im gonna use can operate like the modem/main router?

ill just take a fiber media converter and plug it into it. and get a PPPoE credentials from the isp.

the main question its if it can operate full speed (gig)?

  @ShonB

Hi, Did you use to connect the ISP-provided router via Ethernet cable to the Fiber converter since Deco could only work as a router and it only has Ethernet ports?

If yes, I think Deco X50 would be a perfect solution and It is capable of 1G Fiber bandwidth.

Thank you very much.

Best regards.

  @David-TP
Hey david,
Im getting a GPON Fiber into my house.
then my isp provides me a SFP+ module that works with his infrastrucure,
at the end im plugging a Ethernet cable to the Deco X50. then configuring a PPPoE account for the public IP.

I have here really THICK walls. so the WiFi between floors not works the best.. soo ill plug every deco with an dedicated cable..

My main question its if it can operate and support full 1000Mbps/250Mbps (1/0.25) internet.
