Adding VLAN ID to Deco M4

Model: Deco M4
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: Latest

I'm trying to add a TAG ID to my Guest Network on Deco M4, so I can assign a different IP range to my guest clients.

This is my current setup:

ISP

-> PFSense

-> Lan IPRange1

-> Guest IPRange2 (Tagged Vlan ID 591)

-> Managed Switch (TP-Link)

-> Port 1-3 (Tagged Vlan ID 591)

-> Port 1-3 (Deco M4s - Main Network + Guest Network)

My main network acquires the appropriated IP from range1, however the guest keeps ignoring the IP range configured on the interface and only assigns the same IP as the LAN, and from my researching it has to do to the fact that I cannot assign a VLAN ID to the Guest Wifi, is there anywhere I can assign the TAG ID to the Guest Wifi?

Thank you,

  @FAlmeida

Thank you very much for the feedback.

Deco in Access Point does not support VLAN Tags on the Guest Network anymore.

For your situation, I think you could consider the following two products:

How to configure Multi-SSID mode of the Wireless N Access Point

  • Or Omada Access Points, such as EAP225

How to configure Multiple SSIDs with Multiple Subnets on EAP products

Thank you very much and best regards.

Hi  @David-TP,

Thanks for your response. It seems that even in router mode this option was removed as well. So, I will try to return the M4 and will try to get the suggested one. Much appreciated.
